City of Kahoka Mourns Passing of Mayor Webber

The City of Kahoka has lost a civic leader. Sixty-six year-old Jerry Webber of Kahoka passed away Wednesday at Blessing Hospital in Quincy. Webber was serving a term as Mayor that would have run until April of 2023.
Kahoka City Clerk Sandie Hopp tells KMEM News that Alderman Larry Young was designated as Mayor Pro-Tem when the council last re-organized and will serve in Webber’s place. The next regularly scheduled mayoral election would be in April of 2023.
Funeral services for Jerry Webber will be Saturday at 10:30 am at St. Paul United Church of Christ in Kahoka. Visitation will be at Wilson Triplett Funeral Home in Kahoka after noon on Friday, with the family receiving friends from 5-8 pm, followed by a Masonic service at 8 pm.
