Memorial services for 84 year-old Don Palmer of Memphis will be at 10 a.m., Saturday at the Gerth Funeral Chapel in Memphis with Marilyn Fitzgerald, pastor the Granger United Methodist Church, officiating.
Inurnment of remains, with military honors provided by the Wallace W. Gillespie Memorial V.F.W. Post #4958 of Memphis, will be in the Granger Cemetery.
Don Palmer died Sunday, December 5 at his home.
Memorials are suggested to the Scotland County Cancer Fund or the Granger Cemetery and can be left at or mailed to the Gerth Funeral Service, 115 S. Main St., Memphis, MO 63555.
Mr. Palmer is survived by his wife, Patricia, of the home; daughter, Michele and husband Kyle Kelly of Wentzville, MO; brothers: Lyle Palmer of Casey, IA, and Wayne and wife Nadine Palmer of Quincy; sisters: June Kice of Memphis and Doris Guernsey of Burlington; sister-in-law, Joan Palmer of Kahoka; two grandchildren; many nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
