Written by on December 10, 2021

MEMPHIS, Mo.- The Scotland County Fire Department was dispatched to a structural fire early Friday morning.  Scotland County Sheriff Bryan Whitney tells KMEM News that the call came in at 5:45 am.  The initial call reported that an unoccupied two-story house was on fire at the corner of Ridge and Huntington Streets in Memphis.

When crews arrived on scene, the house was fully engulfed in flames.  Two adjoining field lots containing scrap metal items were also ablaze.  Traffic in the area was restricted to allow fire crews access to several fire hydrants that were located in the vicinity.

The property is owned by Leroy Garrison of Memphis.  Garrison does not live at that location.
