Ellen Aylward

A memorial service for 59 year-old Ellen Aylward of Memphis will be held at 2 p.m., Saturday, at First Baptist Church in Memphis.

Officiating the service will be Dan Hite, pastor of First Baptist, and Jack Sumption, pastor of the Memphis First Christian Church.

Visitation is one hour prior to the service, from 1-2 p.m., Saturday at the First Baptist Church in Memphis. Registry hours will be held at Gerth Funeral Service until Saturday at noon.

Ellen Aylward died February 15, 2021 at Van Buren County Hospital in Keosauqua.

Memorials are suggest to the Scotland County Association of Musical Parents, Scotland County School Foundation or the First Baptist Church Youth Fund and can be left at or mailed to the Gerth Funeral Service, 115 S. Main St., Memphis, MO 63555.

Ellen is survived by her mother, Joanne Aylward of Arbela; her brother, Michael Aylward of Arbela; close friend Donna Oiler of Kahoka; many treasured friends and church family.
