Memphis Man Struck While Pulling Out of Private Driveway

MEMPHIS, Mo.- 6/1/21- A Friday afternoon accident left a pair of local drivers shaken up. The Missouri State Highway Patrol reports that 69-year old Harold J. Snyder of Kirksville was driving a 2009 Chrysler Sebring at 2:20 pm when he pulled onto Highway 136 a mile east of Memphis. The Snyder vehicle pulled into the path of an eastbound 2000 Pontiac Grand Prix driven by 22-year old Lacey A. Miller of Wyaconda. Snyder’s car was then struck by Miller’s vehicle. Both autos received moderate damage and were towed from the scene. Both Miller and Snyder were taken to Scotland County Hospital for treatment of minor injuries. Both drivers were wearing a seatbelt. The Patrol was assisted by the Scotland County Sheriff’s Department, the Memphis Police Department and the Scotland County Rural Fire Department.
