MEMPHIS, Mo.- The Missouri Job Center in Kirksville put on the Northeast Missouri Job Fair and Veteran’s Resource Event Friday afternoon at the Boyer Event Center in Memphis. J.R. Beamer works out of the Kirksville center as a veteran’s representative and was a key organizer of the Friday’s event. The gymnasium of the event center was filled with representatives of many area businesses looking to hire workers immediately.
The employers that were on hand at the job fair represented a broad spectrum of business categories.
In addition to having prospective employers on hand, the event also featured services provided by the Missouri Job Center for job seekers, such as career training.
Beamer said that there was a nice flow of job seekers at Friday’s event.
The Missouri Job Center is not just a classified ad for job listings. The center provides many other services to help potential workers prepare to successfully enter the workplace in a variety of ways.
