Person of Interest Identified in Adair County Investigation

KIRKSVILLE, Mo- The Adair County Sheriff’s Department is requesting the help of the public to find a person of interest in an ongoing investigation regarding the human remains found in the area of Youngstown Trail, in Adair County.

The individual is known as white male Jesse Darrell Rongey, 38-years old, of Adair County. He has a height of 5’7” and weighs 145 pounds. 

Rongey has identifying tattoos that include “Don’t Mess with Texas” and the number “13 1/2” on his upper back. Lower back tattoo, left side rib cage tattoo of a large antlered deer. Left arm has a woodpecker and a sleeve and tattoos on both legs.

He was last known to be in the area of Youngstown Trail. If he is located, he should be considered armed and dangerous, and must not be approached. 

The public is asked to call the Adair County Sheriff’s Office at 1-660-665-4644, Adair County E911 Center (911), 1-660-665-5621 (non-emergency line), or your local Law Enforcement Agency with any information in regard to the location of Rongey. (Tips can always be given anonymously)
