Scotland County Fair Returns For 2021

MEMPHIS, Mo.- 5/4/21- The 2021 Scotland County Fair will be July 11th through 17th and passes are on sale now at Rose Hardware, Memphis Farm & Home, Gas & More and Kay Eggleston Bookkeeping & Tax Service.  Fair passes are $30 now through May 31st, a savings of $60 over the cost of a daily pass for the entire week.  The price goes up to $35 June 1st and $40 July 1st.  Daily passes will be $15.  Anyone age 8 and over will be required to have a pass, 7 and under are free.  A fair pass is good for admission to all events on the fairgrounds and carnival rides. 

The fair gets underway on Sunday with the 4-H royalty coronation and vespers service.  Monday will feature the Scotland County Fair Queen coronation.  Other events include the TSPA truck & tractor pull on Tuesday, ranch rodeo and SCAMP talent contest on Wednesday, auto races on Thursday, and a musical entertainer to be announced in the near future on Friday.  Saturday is always a big day and will feature the mud bogs that afternoon, a BBQ contest that evening and the finale of the demolition derby.

In addition to the grandstand events, the Conner Family Amusements carnival out of Beardstown, Illinois, will be back again this year.  And, of course, the fair week will be full of 4-H, FFA and Boy Scouts all competing in junior livestock and art hall shows.
