U.S. Marshals Service Offers Reward for Subject of Northeast Missouri Manhunt

KIRKSVILLE, Mo.- The U.S. Marshals Service on Wednesday issued a wanted poster for a man who has been the subject of an ongoing manhunt since Thursday evening. The wanted poster offers a reward of up to $5,000 for information leading to the arrest and conviction of 38-year old Jesse Rongey of Kirksville.

Rongey has been charged with multiple felonies, including 1st Degree Murder. The charge is in connection to the alleged shooting, dismemberment and burning of 54-year old Stephen Munn of Kirksville.

Rongey is a white male, 5’7″ and 145# with black hair and brown eyes. He has numerous tatoos which are featured in photos below.

Rongey is to be considered armed and dangerous and should not be approached. If you believe you have spotted him or have a tip, you may call the Adair County Sheriff’s Deparment at 660-665-5621.
