UPDATED #3: La Plata Manhunt Subject Arrested in Cornfield

The Missouri State Highway Patrol has informed Hometown Radio News that Hoblia was spotted south of La Plata in a cornfield. He has been taken into custody by law enforcement officials. Authorities thank the public for their cooperation.

UPDATE #2: MSHP officials have notified Hometown Radio News that the manhunt has been called off without Hoblia being apprehended. Residents are advised to continue to keep homes, buildings and vehicles locked and report any sightings of Hoblia to law enforcement.

Corporal Justin Dunn, Public Information Officer for Troop B of the Missouri State Highway Patrol headquartered in Macon, Missouri, has notified Hometown Radio News that an active manhunt is underway in LaPlata.

A suspect, 44-year old Robert Lee Hoblia, was pulled over for speeding Friday morning on Highway 63 just south of Katydid Street. The suspect is wanted on arrest warrants out of Boone County and fled on foot during the stop. Corporal Dunn indicated that a permieter has been established, and multiple units have been called in to assist in the hunt.

The suspect is a white male wearing blue jeans and a dark shirt. Residents in the area are encouraged to keep their homes, vehicles and buildings locked. They are also asked to contact the Troop B Headquarters if they spot the suspect. That number is 660-385-2132. They can also contact their local law enforcement agencies.
